World of Warcraft Paladin Guide

Combining magic ability with the physical, the WoW Paladin is one of the most innovative classes and can be extremely effective and powerful in many scenarios. It’s not all that surprising that the Paladin class is among the most popular. The main reason is the fact that its so well-rounded with that ability to dominate at everything from melee combat and spell casting, to taking hits and healing. This is a class I recommend everyone try at least once and is something every group should include if they hope to be successful.

Getting Started

The first step after you have chosen to play as a Paladin is to decide on a race. There are many options as the Paladin is a hybrid class, however the humans and elves are always safe, popular choices. While any race will do, one that you are already used to will be best with this class.

While it might take a little bit of time, as a Paladin it is absolutely essential to master your healing and weaponry. Since this class is so versatile, it’s a great choice for those that are unsure of what warfare style or profession they would like to pursue. You will have to take a bit of time to find out whether you prefer melee or ranged weapons.

In order to have the best experience with the Paladin, its absolutely necessary to make sure you manage your mana properly. Make sure you keep an eye on it during battle or when casting spells as it will be gone before you know it. If you let it get too low you will take a loss in health points and it will be a while before you’re able to rejuvenate your health and mana.

The Paladin’s Tools

Of course weapons and armor will be a big concern as a Paladin, but you will also want to consider all of the different tools that can benefit you and your group. Here they are:

Auras – These are extremely effective for protecting the group and the Paladin itself. Consider these when doing raids as you will be able to protect your entire group within a 30 yard radius. Its also a good idea to use different auras at the same time if your group has more than one Paladin.

Seals - These spells are extremely unique and something you will only get with the Paladin class. These can be very effective at increasing skills during combat or regeneration. While they have to be managed quite carefully as only one can be used at a time, they can be extremely helpful in many situations. Seals can be used on enemies, and they typically have the opposite effect that they would normally have when used on your Paladin.

Blessings – Last but not least, another extremely unique Paladin item, blessings. You can bestow gifts on your group or yourself using blessings that can include extra skills, extra strength, or even extra health for up to 15 minutes.
